Se espera que la asociación desarrolle y apoye los esfuerzos que se alineen con la Visión, Misión, Valores y Principios Rectores y los parámetros locales, regionales y del Financiador.
Las actividades de Best Start se implementan con respeto por la dignidad humana, sensibilidad a la idoneidad cultural y con un enfoque en la construcción de relaciones. A continuación se muestran los acuerdos que guían a la Asociación Comunitaria en su participación en las reuniones de la Asociación Comunitaria. Acuerdos de la Reunión:

El Grupo de Liderazgo colabora con la Asociación Comunitaria para tomar decisiones. El Grupo de Liderazgo serán inclusivos, diversos, y representativos del Sureste de LA. El grupo de liderazgo es responsable de crear la agenda y facilitar las reuniones mensuales de la asociación.

The partnership is expected to develop and support efforts that align with the Vision, Mission, Values, and Guiding Principles and the Local, Regional, and Funder’s parameters.
Best Start activities are implemented with respect for human dignity, sensitivity to cultural appropriateness, and with a focus on building relationships. Below are the agreements that guide the Partnership as they participate in the Partnership meetings. Meeting Agreements:
Be respectful and culturally sensitive of others
Be respectful with body language (i.e. tone of voice, facial expressions, hand gestures)
Support each other
Be a good listener
Share information and ideas with others
One person speaks at a time
Be concise
Agree to disagree
Be on time
Be consistent with your attendance
The leadership group collaborates with the Community Partnership to make decisions. The leadership group will be inclusive, diverse, and representative of Southeast Los Angeles. The leadership group is responsible for creating the agenda and facilitating the partnership’s monthly meetings.

A community aware and informed of affordable housing resources providing the well being of the family and the SELA community.
Long Term Systems Change Outcome
A higher percentage of families in Southeast Los Angeles (SELA) will have access to low-income, dignified housing regardless of legal status. They will advocate in an inclusive way to change the system of government. This is important for all children to grow up healthy, safe, and ready to learn.

PROYECTOS IDENTIFICADOS POR LA COMUNIDAD
Apoya la planificación, implementación y reflexión continua de los proyectos identificados por la asociación/colaborativa de la comunidad para lograr los resultados de cambio comunitario deseados.
ALCANCE, ABOGACÍA DE RESIDENTES Y OTROS MIEMBROS DE LA COMUNIDAD
Apoya el desarrollo y la implementación de estrategias que faciliten las conexiones sociales y atraigan a madres, padres y residentes en el trabajo de la asociación/colaborativ a comunitaria.
DATOS, APRENDIZAJE Y MEJORAMIENTO
Incorpora el uso de datos, reflexión regular y aprendizaje a nivel local y se coordina con el contratista de la red regional para apoyar el aprendizaje regional. También participa en actividades de aprendizaje y evaluación de First 5 LA, incluyendo la Agenda de Aprendizaje Best Start.
MOVILIZACIÓN DE RECURSOS LOCALES
Atrae y aprovecha los recursos locales (fondos, donaciones, tiempo voluntario) y las relaciones para apoyar el trabajo de las asociaciones/colaborativas comunitarias más allá de los fondos de First 5 LA.
Local Contract Support
COORDINATOR AND SUPPORT
Provides all of the logistical support needed to plan, facilitate, and hold community partnership meetings, activities, and events. Also monitors the local landscape to identify opportunities for collaboration and integration with similar efforts.
CAPACITY BUILDING AND LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT
Models effective practices, provides real-time coaching, and arranges for targeted technical assistance as needed to support individual and collective abilities to influence policies and systems that impact children and families in their community.
COMMUNICATIONS AND OUTREACH
Supports the development and implementation of communications strategies that build the partnerships’ brand and visibility regionally and locally.
COMMUNITY-IDENTIFIED PROJECTS
Supports the ongoing planning, implementation, and reflection of projects identified by the community partnership to achieve the desired community change results.
RESIDENT, STAKEHOLDER ENGAGEMENT, AND ADVOCACY
Supports the development and implementation of strategies that facilitate social connections and engage parents and residents in the work of the community partnership.
DATA, LEARNING, AND IMPROVEMENT
Incorporates the use of data, regular reflection, and learning at the local level and coordinates with the regional network grantee to support regional learning. Also participates in First 5 LA learning and evaluation activities, including the Best Start Learning Agenda.
LOCAL RESOURCE MOBILIZATION
Attracts and leverages local resources (funding, donations, volunteer time) and relationships to support the work of the community partnerships beyond First 5 LA funding.
